Series Description
To advocate is to speak up for oneself and another, to empower those who are powerless, and to make changes by ending assumptions and removing barriers to equality and inclusion. Anyone who is prepared to reflect on and question the status quo, to debunk myths and stigmas, and to defend the rights and interests of self and others can be an advocate.
This Series incorporates interactive thematic activities that guides students to explore from multiple perspectives the fundamental rights and unique needs of specific groups of vulnerable/ disadvantaged persons in Hong Kong. Through experiential learning activities and reflective practice, students will develop and consolidate essential skills, attitudes and competencies for effective communication and advocacy, preparing them to be empathetic advocates for themselves and anyone in need.
